I am a PhD candidate supervised by Stephen Lougheed and Yuxiang Wang in the Queen’s University Department of Biology (expected completion date: August 2025). My current research involves developing a novel environmental DNA and drone toolkit for monitoring the biodiversity and ecosystems of Eastern Ontario. My project will produce a low cost, noninvasive toolkit for monitoring aquatic ecosystems from a multi-taxon, diversity-of-life approach, specializing in interactions between mollusks and algal blooms. I am also interested in material sciences, maker culture, 3D design and printing, photography, and community science.
